Our next concert will be held at Chasewater Railway on Saturday 28th June 2008.

Now in its fifth year, this concert will be performed inside the Chasewater Railway Heritage Centre.  Here, orchestra and audience can be found among a collection of heritage railway stock.  The chance to hear popular classics in such a unique location is combined with the opportunity to enjoy travelling on the Chasewater Railway. 

Bring a picnic and savour the prom atmosphere!  Tickets are available from
Lichfield Tourism (01543 308209) or Chasewater Railway (01543 452643).  Prices include train rides and are £7 for Adults £7, £3 for Children and £15 for a Family.

The programme will be varied and will include a selection of popular classics on the theme 'Music from the sea', including

  • Rossini: Overture from opera - Barber of Seville
  • Khachaturian: Adagio from Spartacus suite no2 (Onedin Line theme)
  • James Horner: Titanic theme music
  • Joseph Haydn: Symphony no 103 (“drum roll”)

The evening begins at 5:45 and is as follows:

  • 5.45 p.m. First Train Ride
  • 7.00 p.m. Concert (First Half)
  • 7.30 p.m. Interval Train Ride
  • 8.45 p.m. Concert (Second Half)

Our Autumn Concert will be held on Saturday 18th October 2008 at Broadway United Reformed Church.  The concert will feature the Violin Concerto and Symphony No.1 in C Major, both by Beethoven.
